Lyngren alps or hiking trails near Tromsø?

I have one day in Tromsø June 8 and can either do some beautiful hiking tails near Tromsø on Kvaloya, or do my cruise's (somewhat pricey) excursion to the Lyngren Alps and glacier. Wondering what people who've been there would recommend? Thanks!
