we are headed to Norway in April, we'd like to see Undredal (my great-grandmother was born here). Any thoughts, suggestions to the below are much appreciated:
Fly into Bergen
Ferry/train/car to Undredal
Fjords?
Fly out of Oslo

Undredal is nice and very quiet.
In April most of mountain passes will be closed. On the other hand a car allows most freedom of travel. The official map (link) will help you identifying closed roads and issues.
After 1-2 nights in Bergen I recommend to travel by train to Voss and rent a car there to visit Undredal and explore Hardangerfjord (see route). Return the rental car back in Voss (avoiding expensive one.way) and take train to Oslo. Explore rest of days this city.
