Itinerary help ! Bergen to Fjord

Hi all

I am travelling first time to Norway from London with my son ( just two of us ) but he is a great traveller !

We are flying in /out of Bergen and have full 3 days 3 nights. We arrive on feb 8th night and flying out feb 12 afternoon .

We are not museum people and looking for nature and beautiful scenery and absolutely want to see fjords

I read about Norway in a nutshell but confused if I should do a day tour or add a stay in flam ? Please would appreciate guidance and also tips on how to make this trip a beautiful memory of life’s time with short time we have

Thank you

Bergen is a very nice destination on its own. So, spending a day there is a good start or end.

With 2 full days I would recommend renting a car and drive Hardanger(fjord) route to Odda, Eidfjord (Vøringsfossen), Voss and maybe Flåm / Gudvangen with Nærøyfjord - after that back to Bergen. Largest advantage of a rental car is seeing places without the organized crowd.

You probably won't want to drive in February.
Perhaps somebody will reply who has a good idea for a winter visit to the area.

Yes, I’m not sure about doing any of this in February.

Have you checked the website that accommodation is available in Flam for your date(s)? https://www.norwaynutshell.com/original-tour/

I would also consider the hours of daylight for Bergen and Flam. That might influence your thinking. https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/norway/bergen?month=2

There are outdoor options in Bergen - Floibanen takes you up the mountain where there is hiking (seasonal, I presume) and skiing. I don't know about snow amounts for walking or skiing around the Mt Floyen area in February. You might ask on Tripadvisor - some knowledgable posters.

Check Rodne and Hurtigruten cruises from Bergen for your dates also.
