My spouse and I, both avid hikers, planned an ambitious trekking adventure in Norway, targeting the iconic Trolltunga and Pulpit Rock. Our itinerary is as follows:
- Saturday: Arrival at Oslo airport at 5 p.m., followed by car rental pickup and a drive to Odda for an overnight stay.
- Sunday: Embark on the Trolltunga hike and return to Odda for the night.
- Monday: An early start towards Pulpit Rock, with plans to hike and then rest in Stavanger.
- Tuesday: We'll make our way to Bergen, where we'll return the car and stay overnight.
Post-Tuesday, our journey will proceed as planned, utilizing public transportation.
Accommodations are secured with payments made, and while the car rental is reserved, payment is pending.
The rationale behind renting a car was to ensure we could complete both hikes before Tuesday. However, I'm now reconsidering the practicality of our schedule. Is it too ambitious? Could we potentially manage these hikes using public transport instead of renting a car? Or do only one of the hikes?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from the community. Thank you!
Edit: Got a reservation for the parking spot at P3, Magelitopp for Trolltunga. Out and back will be 20km. We are in 30s and fairly fit
