Is there any hotel in Oslo with real in-room A/C?

I am a bad sleeper in general and even worse when hot. While I hope we won't need true a/c in Oslo in September, I'd like to know I'm staying somewhere where I can actually sleep. Is there any hotel near Central Train Station that has true a/c in the room that we can control ourselves, not an air ventilation system that they claim to be air conditioning? My husband thanks you for your recommendations!

Not sure, but try asking the Hotel Thon. We stayed at one and we could could make the room get quite cool if we wanted to. The hotels are extremely well run and responsive to emails. You can also call them as most Norwegians speak English quite well.

We stayed at the Thon Hotel Opera in June 2023. Outside daytime temps were in the mid 70s. Our superior room was very comfortable. The hotel website describes it as "ventilation with cooling". I don't know if the standard rooms have this.

The hotel is just steps from Central Station.

I can't recommend a hotel, but I'll just say we've visited Oslo in early September and it was cool enough we had to wear jackets the whole time. In fact all the outdoor seating places had blankets out as it was too cold to just sit outside and eat in the evenings. I think it's unlikely you'll need it.
