Intercity Train from Stockholm to Oslo

My wife and I plan to take the Intercity Train from Stockholm to Oslo in June. The train departs mid afternoon and arrives about 2130 in the evening. Any suggestions to make the ride a good one? Any watchouts? Many Thanks!!! David

As you depart it will pay to sit on the left hand side, looking to the south. That is where several provinces have placed their lakes, for your viewing pleasure. Don't be afraid to wander around the train to find the best seats. When the trains are not fully booked staff are accommodating and will often let you sit anywhere you want. If you need to cool off, go to the restaurant car which has air conditioning. Feel free to stand around in it's entrances at any time to stretch your backs, looking through the windows. As you leave the capital it will pay to sit on the right hand side. That is where the province has placed the City Hall, one of the finest public buildings on the entire continent, and quite possibly the finest city view that can be had from any train in this world, which can be seen from the railway bridge across a stretch of water, for your viewing pleasure.
