We need to get from our Aurland hotel to the Flam 9:30am ferry on March 31st, and there seems to be few options.
It looks like it is either a taxi (which some have said is unreliable), or ask the ferry to stop in Aurland. Both options make me nervous! If the ferry forgets to stop, or the taxi doesn’t show, our schedule for the day falls apart.
Any suggestions?
So you're taking the boat to Gudvangen? In that case the easiest is just to board it in Gudvangen, no need to backtrack to Flåm. No reason to be nervous about that that. The ferry forgetting to stop can happen, but the risk is so small you really don't need to think about it.
Yes, we have tickets for the ferry from Flam to Gudvangen. So it sounds like we should go with asking the ferry to pick us up in Aurland, and staying positive. Thank you!
That is my suggestion, just contact them and say that you want to board the ferry in Aurland instead. And as long as you get a confirmation, I see no reason to worry about it.
