How many days would you all suggest spending in Geirangerfjord area? Is 1 full day enough to see the highlights or do I better plan for 2 full days there? Thank you in advance

It’s really about Geirangerfjord rather than Geiranger. The ORNESVINGEN VIEWPOINT is a spectacular scenic overlook from where you can see Geirangerfjord and its waterfalls. The viewpoint is just a couple miles out of town on Highway 63.
You also should get out on the Geirangerfjord and the best way to see it is to take the public ferry to Hellesylt.
The ferry travels the entire length of the Geirangerfjord and takes an hour in each direction. It costs $31 each way.
With a car, there’s no need to overnight in overpriced Geiranger as there are other towns such as Aarset ( 10 miles away) and Eidsdal (16 miles away) that have accommodations at much lower prices.
Without a car, staying in Hellesylt is convenient after taking the ferry there.
