I'm flying out of Oslo to Amsterdam about 10 am in the morning in September. Would it be easier to catch a shuttle to the airport from a hotel closer to the Oslo airport or stay in Oslo? Thank you.

I have a 7:55 flight out of Oslo in 2 weeks and I’m choosing to stay in town rather than change a 2 night stay in Oslo into 2 one nighters. There are quite a few trains the earliest of which leaves at 5:54 or such and gets to the airport in under 25 minutes

You might consider staying right in the Oslo airport at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The flight departures area is a quick walk from the hotel. We have stayed there twice for early morning departures.

We stayed at the Scandic and did a non-refundable rate as it was quite a bit less. Beautiful hotel, only one year old. Good restaurant. They start serving breakfast either at 4 or 4:30 am. We had a 6:30 am flight and had a nice breakfast and they have a complimentary shuttle service. You can walk to the terminal but wouldn’t recommend with luggage. My husband walked back after returning the car the night before.

It is so incredibly easy to take the train from downtown to the airport that I would never consider it.
It is more reliable and probably faster than a taxi or any hotel shuttle would be.
Oslo to Amsterdam is the same as a domestic flight in the US ; you only need be there at 9 AM ; that is not that early.
Stay somewhere close to the train station downtown on your last night and enjoy yourself rather than stay by the airport.

I arrived at the Oslo airport late Saturday afternoon on a flight from Ålesund, stayed at the Radisson Blu Saturday night, and then caught an early morning flight to Amsterdam Sunday morning.
I really liked the convenience of the Radisson Blu. If you exit the airport on the far right side, you just cross a couple of traffic lanes for cars picking up arriving passengers and then immediately come upon a very short walkway to the hotel. It's maybe a 3-5 minute walk from airport door to hotel door. No shuttle needed.
Breakfast is served beginning at 4:45.`
