Hotel suggestions in Oslo and Bergen?

Hello all! My mother and I are taking a trip to Norway in August. We are arriving at the Oslo Gardermoen airport on August 25th and are planning on staying in Oslo for 2 nights and then taking the Norway in a Nutshell to Bergen and are planning on staying there for 2-3 nights. We are trying to find a hotel or bed and breakfast that is easy to get to from the Oslo airport, meaning close to a train or bus station. After we are finished visiting Bergen we are planning on going up to visit our relatives in Harstad which is farther up north.

Any recommendations or advice on hotels in these areas would be extremely helpful. I want to try and book a hotel within the next week or so and make sure I am not booking us somewhere far away and inaccessible with transporting luggage.

Thon Astoria is convenient to the Oslo S and central Oslo. Train or FlyToget from OSL to Oslo S. Short walk to the Astoria.

I second Edgar's recommendation for Thon hotels. I've found that the Thon Budget Hotels are centrally located and a good value in an otherwise very expensive country. They have several locations in both Oslo and Bergen. You might also try airbnb, which I've used throughout Scandinavia.

Hotel Continental. It's right by a station served by the Flytoget airport service, and within a 5 minute walk of the harbor and main shopping street. Like many business-class hotels in Oslo, the price drops considerably in the summer.
