Aside from Oslo, we have a list of places we'd ideally like to visit around the fjords.
-Norway in a nutshell one-way from Oslo to Bergen
-2 nights in Balestrand
-2-3 nights in Bergen (ideally getting 1.5-2 full days there)
Optional: Solvorn, but we won't have a car... is this worth it?
The order isn't important and the nights in Bergen can be split (ie 1 Bergen, 2 Balestrand, 1-2 Bergen).
Here's how I'm thinking
-NiN Oslo to Bergen, sleep in Bergen
-Catch ferry to Balestrand; 2 nights there
-Catch ferry back to Bergen; 1-2 nights there before flying out
Is this a smart way to go or are there better alternatives? Or any other tips?
I considered just doing NiN round trip from Bergen but I feel like we'd miss lots of scenery between Oslo & Myrdal.
