Looking for suggestions.
Had paid and was ticketed for April 9 ferry (not cheap!!) from Bergen to Hirtshals and was informed today by email that it is cancelled. We had planned to travel by train from Hirtshals to Aarhus on the 10th where we have already paid for our Airbnb. While we have trip insurance and hope to get that reimbursed, my bigger questions are our options, all of which probably mean we will lose a night in Aarhus and have to pay more money for April 9 lodging :
1. Should we book the ferry the next day and lose a night in Aarhus (can I trust the ferry at this point?)
2. Should we use this as an opportunity to got to Stavanger by bus, stay there for a night and then grab the April 10 Fjord Line ferry to Hirtshals from there?
3. Open to other suggestions! And by the way, flying looks pretty expensive and cumbersome.
We will have traveled from Oslo to Bergen via Norway in a Nutshell, so don't want to retrace our steps.
Looking for ideas!
Thank you.
