This July, we are staying two nights in Gottenburg before traveling to Bergen for 4 nights (our itinerary starts in Copenhagen). Should we travel to Oslo, spend the night and pick up the Norway in a Nutshell tour, going straight through (the flam, fjords, bus to bergen) or should we train all the way to Bergen (I think we have to change trains in Oslo) and then do the Norway in a Nutshell RT from Bergen as one of a series of active day trips from Bergen. We are too late to find overnight lodging in the small towns along the NIN tour itinerary, so regardless of our stop/end points for the tour, we have to do it in a day.
