We are planning on traveling Norway in 2019. We would like to rent a car in Flam and drive to Solvorn and onto Balestrand staying two nights in each village. From Balestrand we wish to take an express ferry to Bergen.
Questions:
1. Are there a car rental locations in Flam for pickup and Balestrand to drop off? Website?
2. We want to take an express ferry from Balestrand to Bergen. I am getting different information online . Norled.no indicates the ferry begins in Sogndal Kai not Balestrand. (does it stop in Balestrand) Other sites indicate there is a ferry from Balestrand but not enjoyable. Should we take the express ferry back to Flam?

There are no car rental locations in Flam or Baelstrand. These are very small towns. I'm not sure where the nearest one would be.
We are taking the express boat from Baelstrand to Bergen so I know there is one.
