We will be travelling with a car from Geiranger to Flam in June, and we have a full day for the drive. What would be the best route that would include some attractions on the way?

Good news: all options include scenic views and on the attractions depending on which one you choose based on preferences. No objective right / wrong. If all equal for you follow the sun or better weather forecast on yr.no 1-2 days before.

I like the western route through Stryn, Skei and Fjaerlandfjorden because (1) you’ll see a lot of fjords and waterways on this route and (2) at 4.5 hours it is the fastest route.

From my experience there are min three western routes in the middle part (decisions in Skei and Sogndalsfjøra) and another 3 options how to cross Sognefjord.
