Our family of 6 adults will be traveling to Norway the summer of 2023. When we travel we like to add in some hands-on experiences related to art and cooking. Our ancestors are from Norway and we were thinking a folk art class of some sort would be interesting....my ggg grandfather and gg grandfather were well known rosemal painters in the Hallingdal. Does anyone have any ideas/contacts/experiences to share? I am not finding much in my online searches. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Maybe not exactly what you were looking for but in my own research I found on this website a farm and home visit that includes art gallery and some other possible things like chocolate tasting. https://www.geirangerfjord.no/family-activities-2
I also found this near Alesund:

You could also consider this guided tour itinerary and see if any elements you would like to see if you could replicate for your family:

It included a visit with a current rosemaler.
Laurie Ann, thank you for all of the ideas you posted! I saw some good possibilities to add to our itinerary.
