Flamsbana atrain

Are there two different trains from Myrdal to Flam? Is the Flamsbana the only one?
Thank you,

Flåmsbana is a rail line between Myrdal and Flåm. As mentioned there are several daily trains on the route, all operated by Vy, www.vy.no

Take it! We took it up from Flam and then rented bikes at the train station and biked downhill through some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever laid eyes on. The path is car free. I stopped counting waterfalls at 50. You drop the bikes off in town, it couldn’t be easier.

For anyone that might be thinking of booking this train, you might want to look at what days/times are open for train tickets and build your itinerary around that. We initially looked at a random date and saw all time options open, so we didn't even think about ticket availability for our chosen date until we already had 11 days of lodging booked leading up to our stop at Flam. We were able to get tickets, but most time slots weren't available and we will be taking a much later train than we wanted. Slots for the day after we are there are wide open.

I've walked up about 2/3rd of that route- it really is a lovely walk, but is better taken down hill!!
I caught the train back down from one of the little wayside stations.
I had walked up to avoid waiting for capacity on an up hill train, although I found out from the guard that they do have an unreserved car for people using the various village wayside stations, so the "train full" signs at the station at Flam were not strictly accurate.
