Hello, we will be spending 2 nights in Aurland, so we are flexible with our schedule a bit. We will be arriving in Voss around noon, renting a car and heading to the Flam/Aurland area. We can either do the Flamsbana around 3:00pm (we will be doing the zipline and bike down back to Flam afterwards) or we would do it first thing the following morning. For the Naeroyfjord cruise, it would be the same - either in the afternoon on our arrival day or first thing the following morning. Which option would be less likely to be crowded from cruise visitors or NIN travelers doing it in one day? There will be cruise ships in port in flam while we are there. Thanks!

Unless weather becomes a factor, I would do the Fjord cruise in the morning. The nutshell travelers will not have arrived yet. We were on an early afternoon cruise from Gudvangen in May 2023 and it was packed.
The Flåmsbana has seats, so most everyone will have a good view. We did our own booking, not the organized NIN tour, and we're able to choose our carriage which was practically empty.
Be sure to stop at Stegastein Viewpoint. The view is wonderful.
