Flam train, bus, boat

Flam cruise to Gudvangen, bus to Voss, train to Myrdal, historic train Myrdal-Flam; or the reverse.

We would do this in reverse if we're able.
Is this possible to book on our own? on the Visit Flam site it doesn't give me choices for a shuttle bus from Myrdal. Is our only choice to take the train both ways?

If we have to take train both ways and then cruise from Flam to Gudvangen, the shuttle bus times back to Flam are exactly the cruise ending times. Is that what we should book or do we have to wait the hour+ until the next shuttle time? Do we have to book the shuttle in advance or can we do it on an app or pay when we get on?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Myrdal is roadless and only served by train. It's a railroad station for the Bergen Line terminus for the Flamsbana in a roadless area of the Hardangervidda.

Where do you want to start from, Oslo or Bergen. If from Oslo it would be Bergen Line to Myrdal, Flamsbanna to Flam, boat to Gudvangen, bus to Voss, train to Bergen. If from Bergen, the opposite. If you want to start and finish in Bergen, it would be Bergen to Voss by regional train, bu to Gudvangen, boat to Flam, train to Myrdal and then Bergen line back to Bergen. Or the reverse.

Or you could ride the Flamsbana up from Flam to Myrdal and by engaging a bike ride downhill back to Flam (or hike). https://www.visitflam.com/packages/hike-or-bike-the-flam-valley/

Oh, that makes sense. I read it too quickly when I copied and pasted that route.

We are just in port for the day in Flam and trying to make the most of it. I will have to check out the timing for this route.
Thanks!
