Flam to myrdal train

Hi. I am going from flam to myrdal on the train in July. I was just wondering if I need to book it ahead of time. I am not doing norway in a nutshell. I have already booked my train from Oslo to bergen. Thank you for your help

You can buy the ticket locally and I think also in Oslo or Bergen train station.
