Trying to find the best way to buy tickets for the Fjord 1 ferry. The website will not let me access the Flam Gudvangen route. Any ideas? It's listed in Rick Steve's travel book page 300. A local suggested to us that last summer it got very busy and reserving would be a good idea. Thanks.

Thank you! This spot kept eluding me. I also found a posting on Travel Adviser that clarified the situation for me: ignore the picture - that is a new boat (NFS) the other boats on this route are the old 'normal' ferry - NF101,102 & 103) I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
I am going to be staying in Balestrand. Are there any ferries that go to Gudvangen from Balestrand?
For Carl: All the research I have done is that there is not a ferry from Balestrand to Gudvangen. There used to be a way to transfer to a boat mid way; that was discontinued. I talked with the owner of a hotel in Balestrand and she said we'd have to take the express boat back to Flam or Aurland to get a ferry to go to Gudvangen. She recommended Flam as not all ferrys stop in Aurland.
