Flam to Balestrand--Norled ferry, express boat departing at 15:30

Can anyone offer any tips on how to locate the Norled ferry to Balestrand at 15:30?

We are trying to book things individually, not in a package.

Also, is there a train at 6:25 leaving Oslo for Flam? If so, does that only run during the summer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I assume you meant the booking site and not literally where to find the boat at the pier. :-) You can buy tickets for the "hurtigbåt" (express ferry) here: https://booking.norled.no/default.aspx. Random selection of a date - April 1 - with two adult travelers, 1530 departure from Flåm: 452 NOK total ($53.61 USD at today's exchange rate). For Oslo to Flåm, you'll need to take the NSB (Norges Statsbaner - Norwegian State Railways) from Oslo to Myrdal (the NSB trains do not go to Flåm). You'd then have to use the Flåmsbana (Flåm Railway) from Myrdal to Flåm. I didn't see an 1825 departure from Oslo S the few random dates I selected. NSB tickets are available here: https://www.nsb.no/en/purchase; Flåmsbana: https://www.visitflam.com/flamsbana/.

Hope that helps. I've done the reverse itinerary and am familiar with the process as are many posters here. Feel free to PM me if you need additional help.

Thanks so much. That website for the ferry has been evasive all afternoon. Thanks for sending the link. Where we're having difficulty is finding a 6:25 morning train from Oslo to Myrdal and then one to Flam. We only see an 8:25 morning train listed. We'd have a hard time making the ferry by taking the 8:25 morning train I'd imagine. Any insight into the earliest train out of Oslo?
