In trying to book round trip visit to Vik from Balestrand to see Hopperstand Stave Church on June 13. I discovered Norled has no sailings on this route in June. I've emailed Norled but no response so far.
Does anyone know why Norled isn't operating this route in June? No other ferry service travels between Balestrand & Vik.

I just put Balestrand and Hopperstad stave church into google maps and it showed the route, using the car ferry that leaves from Dragsvik. If you are dependent on public transport, the final bit of the trip is a 1.5 km walk.
Appreciate reply, Cynthia, but doesn't solve my problem. Vangsnes to Dragsvik car ferry does indeed stop in Balestand but not in Vik, home of Hopperstad Stave Church.
Oh wait, I get it, Cynthia. You're saying I take car ferry from Balestrand to Vangsnes & walk from there to Vik. That could definitely work. Sometimes I'm just a little slow on the uptake. Thanks.
There's also a bus 811 from Vangsnes ferry port to Vik, assuming you don't want to walk 8 miles. You can find all this information on Google maps if you imput "Balestrand and Hopperstad Stave Church" and use the "public transport" option. (We always rent a car for ease of getting between rural places, it is very easy to drive in Norway.) Hopperstad is a very interesting church with lots of dragon carvings. There is also a nearby medieval stone church, site of a medieval double murder.
