Let's kick-start this new conversation space! What's your favorite destination in Norway and why?
For me, the best thing in Norway is the people in Norway. Thus, I would want to go to a place in Norway where I can meet Norway people, preferably not in the big city Oslo. I do not desire to go north of the Arctic Circle.
I've only been three places in Norway - Oslo, Bergen and Balestrand. Of the three, I liked Bergen the best. It's a charming town and very walkable. I love the wharf area with the old Hanseatic buildings (I think they have been rebuilt, but they are very interesting and colorful) and the fish market. It's a great jumping off point for the fjords, which (based on the one I've seen) are just as beautiful as advertised.
I've only visited Oslo and Trondheim, but Oslo is easily my favorite capital city in Europe... and I'm not a city person at all. So clean and well-organized, and with such beautiful views. I can't think of another urban green space where I would rather spend a lazy summer afternoon than Froger Park.
Hi, there are lots of travel destinations in Norway. You can visit Norwegian Fjords, Vikingskipshuset, Nasjonalgalleriet and a lot more. http://www.ninjabooker.com/
