Eliteserien Football Match

A group of four of us will be in Stavanger in late August and would like to attend a Viking FK soccer game on Aug 25th. Does anybody know if tickets are easy to come by? I looked on the Viking FK site, and while they have the match listed, the ticket purchasing page only lists matches up to August 10th. Will more matches appear as it gets closer to the game date?

We attended a hockey game in Prague this last Christmas and it was a lot of fun, so are hoping to do the same with a soccer game in Norway.

It looks like Viking has sold out 2 home matches this season. Otherwise typical attendance is 10-12k in a stadium seating 15,900. I think you have a good chance to get tickets. The 8/25 match doesn’t appear to be against a major rival.

I also enjoy watching matches when traveling - an early round of the Norwegian Cup was happening when I was visiting Norway and I caught a match in an Oslo suburb between local rivals, a very fun experience.

Thanks, this is helpful! It looks like the match is now available to purchase tickets online, so we will get to be Vikings fans for the day.
