Early June itinerary help/ Flåm area

Like many of us, I'm trying to maximize a small amount of time in Norway. Spouse and I were originally thinking of hitting Bergen and Oslo and using the 14-hour one-way NiN tour as a means of transporting ourselves from Bergen to Oslo and also seeing the nature at the same time.

On second thought, the 14-hour day will be too taxing, and we'd like to redo our plans. The new plan would eliminate Bergen altogether; rather, we'd use Oslo as a base before and after a 2-night hotel stay in a fjord city such as Flåm.

You can read my initial planning post here: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/general-europe/itinerary-critique-london-norway-sweden

The revised trip would be 4 nights London, 2 nights Oslo, 2 nights Flåm, 2 nights Oslo, 5 nights Gothenburg:
Day 1: Arrive London Heathrow, settle in
Day 2: Kew Gardens or Kensington Gardens plus his must-sees, depending on energy level
Day 3: We'll be attending a particular classical music concert this day and will have our tix in advance
Day 4: Finish what we didn't see in London (see day 2)
Day 5: Take a one-way flight to Oslo and settle in
Day 6: Open-air folk museum and viking museum
Day 7: Train to Flåm, settle in and overnight in Flåm
Day 8: Stare agape at nature, etc., overnight in Flåm
Day 9: Train back to Oslo, overnight in Oslo
Day 10: Any unfinished Oslo sights; Operahuset plaza, etc.
Day 11: Take train to Gothenburg, Sweden and settle in
Day 12: The rest of the trip is filled with "being Swedish" and possibly meeting with cousins; he might play golf
Day 13:
Day 14:
Day 15:
Day 16: Fly home from Gothenburg on a through-ticket connecting in Heathrow

This was the "old" trip we'd like to revise: 4 nights London, 2 nights Bergen, 2 nights Oslo, 2 nights Fredrikstad, 5 nights Gothenburg
Day 1: Arrive London Heathrow, settle in
Day 2: Kew Gardens or Kensington Gardens plus his must-sees, depending on energy level
Day 3: We'll be attending a particular classical music concert this day and will have our tix in advance
Day 4: Finish what we didn't see in London (see day 2)
Day 5: Take a one-way flight to Bergen and settle in
Day 6: Stroll around, enjoy first time in Scandinavian culture, rest up for day 7
Day 7: Depart 8:43am for Norway in a Nutshell tour one-way Bergen to Oslo, arriving in Oslo at 22:35
Day 8: Open-air folk museum and viking museum plus Operahuset plaza
Day 9: Any unfinished Oslo sights (see day 8); take a 90-min train or bus ride to Fredrikstad, Norway (ancestry-related) and settle in
Day 10: Explore Fredrikstad; he might play golf
Day 11: Take a 2.5 hr train or bus ride to Gothenburg, Sweden (ancestry-related) and settle in
Day 12: The rest of the trip is filled with "being Swedish" and possibly meeting with cousins; he might play golf
Day 13:
Day 14:
Day 15:
Day 16: Fly home from Gothenburg on a through-ticket connecting in Heathrow

I haven't visited yet, but would try to prevent double stay in Oslo. Maybe 1 night Bergen and 1 night Flåm, or flight Bergen to Sweden. Flying is cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think we'll revise this yet again to fly direct from London to Bergen, than train from Bergen to Flåm area and train again to Oslo.

We would not get bored in Oslo from what I've read, but doing the above will save us a couple hours travel time.
