We will be flying Wideroe from Bergen to Aberdeen on a Tuesday morning. The flight leaves at 7:40am - we will stay the previous night in Bergen at the Radisson Blu (Bryggen) where we're staying a couple of days. The 3 of us will have a total of 2-3 checked bags and 3 carry-ons. What is your advice on the best way to get to the airport? Is taxi my best option? and what is my timeline? Thank you in advance - RS forum advice is always so helpful!
The airport bus stops just outside the hotel and takes you to the airport in 45 minutes. That would be my suggestion.
What time would we need to catch the bus to get to airport, check bags, etc. for a 7:40am fight? and, depending on that answer, does the bus run that early? I've tried to figure this out on my own but don't know how reliable the Airport's recommended "get to the airport" time is at that time in the morning. Thank you for your quick response.
We took a taxi from the Radisson. Edited to add that you have a lot of stuff as did we as we had just come from the Arctic. You can check the flybussen site to hopefully get schedules. We were leaving for the airport super early as well so we took the taxi.
Of course it runs that early. Since there are flights that early, it would be rather silly to not have airport bus departures that early. My suggestion would be the 4:40 or 5:10 departure. You can find information and buy tickets at https://flybussen.no and the bus stop outside the hotel is called Dreggsallmenningen. Buying your tickets in advance on their website will save you a bit of money compared to buying it from the driver, and the ticket is valid on any departure to the airport the day you choose.
Thank you for the good information.
