I have outlined my upcoming itinerary for my trip in April - May. What are some suggestions/recommendations for sights to see, photo ops, and experiences along the E16. Anything unusual or unique that would be worth a visit?

The Hardangerfjord bridge near Eidfjord is worth a look but is a 30 minute detour off the E16 on route 13. Otherwise, there is an outdoor museum in Vossevangen on E16 that might be worth a look.
Norwegian roads have spectacular scenery and generally lots of rest stops (with parking, toilets and a picnic table). Just give yourself plenty of time and stop whenever you want to admire the scenery.
