We are thinking of driving from Stavager to Flam with out 6 year old. Would you recommend this? Yay or nay?

Do you have a specific concern? Norway is very kid friendly. I would consider dramamine for the people not driving due to the twisty Norwegian roads.
Personally I'm not a huge fan of driving in Norway outside of the cities due to the highways having inconsistent widths that often have no shoulders or painted centerlines.
If I did your trip (from your other post), I'd do Pulpit Rock as a day trip from Stavanger, take the bus or fly to Bergen and then do Norway in a Nutshell as a round trip from there. Skip the expensive gas, tolls and parking and leave the driving to the locals.
