DFDS ferry Oslo to Copenhagen

We walked by the fortress from downtown and it took 20 minutes. Get there at least an hour early to avoid the masses checking in around. 2pm. Go to the top rear of the ship, 11th deck, to the outdoor bar for music, great views leaving town and a reasonable drink. There are almost 3 hours of Archipelagos leaving town and 3 hours of islands on arrival. Our Commodore room had two windows and a Buffett breakfast that was very good. We added the Buffett dinner and it was really great. On arrival you can walk to the Little Mermaid about 20 minutes, and to down take the Metro our a bus.

We did that cruise in 2019. So fun. I would do it again.

We took that trip in 2015 . Really wonderful and a spectacular sunset heading down The Oslo Fjord toward the Kattegat

William, what type of room did you book on the ferry. We're looking to go from Copenhagen to Oslo, it will be the Crown Seaways the day we travel in early September. We're thinking of splurging on one of the commodore deluxe rooms with balcony. You mentioned to get there at least an hour early, do you remember if any of the lounges/restaurants/shops were open before departure? I'm especially curious about the commodore lounge, since if that's open before departure, it's another very good reason for getting there early.
Thank you.
