Dealing with luggage on trip from Oslo to Balestrand

We are traveling from Bergen to Balestrand. We'll take the traditional NIN route to Flåm and then ferry over to Balestrand. My question has to do with our luggage. Since we'll be transferring several times I'm concerned about our luggage.

Since we'll be on two different trains and one ferry and we'll have some heavy luggage is there any advice available regarding security and movement of luggage from train to train to ferry? We'd rather not be focusing on our luggage and wondering if there is any porter service available.

thanks

How heavy is heavy? And how many pieces? Generally speaking, you are totally responsible for your luggage. You need to be able to handle it easily and quickly especially on trains. And, of course, we always recommend packing less just for that reason.

Balestrand may be the problem. See:

Luggage service and transportation
How is luggage handled on your trips?

You can bring your luggage with you on the trip. There are places to
store the luggage on each transport leg. Be aware that you have to
carry the luggage yourself from train to bus to boat etc, but the
connections are all within close proximity for easy transfer.

You can book luggage transport with the trip if you also book hotel in
Oslo and Bergen and take the trip in 1 day.

You can also book this service directly with the luggage company
