We have two children, ages five and eight. Our five year old gets severe motion sickness. We give him dramamine and have tried bonine and wrist bands. Nothing really helps, so we always have the barf bags at the ready. Poor little guy. We wish we could do Norway in a Nutshell, but think he will be miserable that entire beautiful , but long day from Bergen to Oslo.
Has anyone found any day trip fjord tours from Bergen so we could at least see some fjords while in Norway? We think he could handle a few hours on a ferry but not train, bus, bus, ferry, train for 11-12 hours,
We plan on train from Bergen to Oslo after our two days in Bergen. We are also going to Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. We know days are short and weather in late March is snowy, rainy and cold, but we are skiers and will be prepared for the cold. There is no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. :)
