Going on a Holland America cruise and stopping in the following ports. Wondering if there is something special we should do at each port. Ports will be Eidfjord, Geiranger Geirangerfjord, Alesund and Bergen. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Cruise Critic website has a forum for Ports of Call. You could check there. Also the Whatsinport website. TripAdvisor "things to do" for each port. Rick also has a guidebook for Scandinavian and Northern Europe cruise ports

We been on about a dozen HA cruises in Europe. HA has a very good port orientation program generally the day before the port. You can watch it live or on tape in your room. We tend to use local tours that we book after we get off the ship. There are always a number of local tours offered so you can discuss price and the tour. Steve's guidebook is kind of hit and miss on port. If he covers your port stop, his information is very good.

I don't know whether there's a practical out-of-town trip you can take on your own from Alesund. I know it's reasonably close to Trollstigen. I stayed in Alesund for about 24 hours, went to the Art Noveau Museum and walked around the town, looking at the Art Noveau architecture.
Unfortunately, Rick's top sightseeing suggestions for Bergen are not available on this website. (You would normally find them at Explore Europe > Norway > Bergen > At a Glance.) Bergen is a lovely city where you can spend a lot of time just walking around. Not being terribly interested in pre-WWII history, I explored the art museums and visited several neighborhoods with attractive architecture.

We had a fantastic Norwegian North Cape cruise with six ports in 2019.
It was with Royal Caribbean. Not every cruise line goes all the way to the north cape. NCL cruise lines has one as well.
Celebrity does not.
Holland American (usually referred to as HAL) has a good reputation, although it tends to attract the over 70 passenger.
The ports you listed are great ports, we have been to all but Eldfjord.
It is best to compare several cruise lines, I suggest comparing HAL with Royal Caribbean and NCL. Not sure if Princess has a Norwegian cruise. Celebrity has one, but not to the north cape.
