Car rental/Ferry reservation question

Hi All,

We will be in Norway next month and have rented a car through Auto Europe at Alesund airport with Sixt car rental company. Has anyone rented with SixT and had problems? SixT was our only option through AE at the airport and I read the google reviews...half are good but the other half horrible reviews. Another question regarding rental...I've read/heard that "autopass" for toll and ferry is required on all rental cars...but I'd like to pre reserve a specific time for passage on the Geiranger/Hellsyt ferry. How would the autopass work if I've prepaid for the ferry reservation?

Sixt is a renowned German rental car company.
Most people only write reviews when they are disappointed for what reason ever. Do not give too much on this.

Always for rental cars: Check your car very carefully before driving of. Every scratch or damage of interior and exterior needs to be in the handover protocol. Otherwise you have to pay for it.Take photos before first drive and after last drive.

Just bool book Geiranger - Helleysylt separately - it is a tourist ferry anyway - not part of Norwegian street / transport system.

We rented with Sixt in France and they were fine. Haven't used them in Norway, though. There are other car rental agencies in Alesund. We reserved with Avis. There is also Hertz. But I think Sixt is fine.

Do book that ferry ahead. We did last May and some folks in line did not get on.
