We would like to go from Oslo city center to the Midgård Viking Center about 1.5 hours to the south. (Bus service leaves you waiting at a stop for 48 mins en route and gets us there with little time to visit before closing.) Wondering if we can get a ride easily and approximate cost. Anyone tried this?
There is also a connection by train and bus. See https://www.vy.no
Maybe take a taxi from the train station.
While you certainly can take a taxi from Oslo (unsure about Bolt) easily, it will cost a small fortune. The easiest way is as mentioned the train to Tønsberg and a bus from there. The bus is scheduled to depart a few minutes after the train arrives. You can see the options at www.entur.no
