Interested in taking a cruise that has many Norway stops. Traveling alone and curious what the atmosphere would be? Would I have to worry about being black? Would I feel safe? How can I expect to be treated?

Are you an American? This may or may not be useful but we were in a Norway on a business trip about 16 years ago and we have completely forgotten the trip until we saw your post. We were in Oslo. My point is that being African American 16 years ago was a total non-event in Norway. I hope you hear from someone with more specific recent experience. I am very used to being in places where there are not a lot of other people of color so that would not have stood out for me with respect to Norway. You might want to read this article but also note that usually when it comes to racial discrimination in Europe, life is always different, meaning usually better, for American visitors than it is for locals: https://www.theroot.com/for-americans-of-color-is-norway-a-racism-free-utopia-1790862174 I’d be more concerned about treatment in the ship than stops at places in Norway.

No, you do not need to worry. Since you are travelling on a cruise ship you will only visit "touristy" areas and not go off the beaten path. And those areas will have seen people from all over the world before.

We have done 20 ocean cruises on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line.
There are always Black people cruising with us. Occasionally, we have met and socialized with Black people, usually at happy hour. They seem to be enjoying the cruise like everyone.
We take a lot of long cruises, usually 10-15 days long. The longer the cruise the older the passengers.
We have done a few 7 day cruises and those have more young people.
In June of 2019, we did a wonderful Norway cruise with Royal Caribbean out of Copenhagen. The cruise visited six ports in Norway and went all the way to the North Cape. It was amazing, loved Norway. The people are extremely friendly.
