Biking in Flam area

Has anyone rented bikes in Flam and biked someplace other than the ride from Myrdal to Flam? I've noticed at least 2 bike rental places in Flam and one has e-bikes. We are considering riding from Flam to Skjerdal in early June. The farm at Skjerdal isn't open until July 1, but it looks like a pretty ride, and not too long. It looks pretty flat except for the end where you return to Flam. It appears to be mostly on a road, and I wondered how busy that road gets.

Thanks!

I think it would be possible to bike to Aurland. I walked part of the way, and I don't remember any challenging footing. I think it was a paved path.

Flåm is a tiny village and the surrounding communities are as well.
With people living there and a few car or train tourists the streets are nearly empty - only a few cars and busses.
Situation can be different if a cruise ship with a few thousand tourists is in port. My recommendation is to choose a date without a cruise ship in the harbor (check arrival list of Flåm port).

The most precise map of Norway for pre-chacks is Norgeskart.

Was drving that area some times with my own car.

Thanks! Acraven, hope it was a scenic walk.

There are no cruise ships in port the day we plan on the ride.

We also saw people riding to the church on the road to Myrdal. With no cruise ship, I think the ride you are looking at will be fine, though. There is a good bakeri right after you cross the bridge in Aurland.

Flam is a port and surrounded by mountains. Biking those mountains will take some effort. I once did long distance bike riding and have done a bit of hill climbing. Enjoy
