Best use of five days in Norway.

Help! I will arrive in Stockholm by ferry from Riga at 10:30 AM on 14 May and intend to head for Norway by train that day (early in the trip I will have spent five days in Stockholm). I fly out of Bergen on 19 May. What do you suggest? Im thinking I might need to overnight in Oslo. I do want to experience the Norway in a Nutshell, not sure how to put that together. I want to arrange accommodations and don't know which way to go. These are the last five days of my 44 day trip. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what you have done earlier in you trip and what you what to see, but you should spend at least one night in Oslo, it is a city worth at least a day.

Could be an exciting time to visit Norway. May 17th is Norway's National or Constitution Day.

Norwegians are the only people in Scandinavia who really go in for
national pageantry, and May 17th is the day they pull out all the
stops. "Syttende mai" as it's known in the local vernacular is far and
away the biggest street party Norway has all year, easily eclipsing
New Year's Eve.

Thanks for the information. I feel fortunate to have successfully booked a room in Bergen and all legs of the NIN tour given all that will be going on for the celebrations!
