Best road map?

Any suggestions for the most useful map for car travel in Norway? It seems Michelin is the most commonly used.
Thank you!

Michelin maps are considered the best available. But if you have a smartphone, why bother? Google maps can be used off line and give turn by turn directions as well as points of interest and services. The last time I used a map in Europe was 2009 because my GPS broke.

For planning our upcoming trip I purchased one of the large freytag & berndt maps of Norway.

This one covers the whole country:

I didn't need the whole country so I purchased one with even more detail. I don't see the exact one I have on their website but this one is close:

The map company is German but the legends on the map are in multiple languages, including English.

Google is good for real time navigation but planning a route in advance I like to have a paper map that shows the different alternatives.

I am a paper map person. We used a Michelin map for planning our trip in Norway in September 2022. We also used Google maps for real time directions when walking around places.
