Bergen to Oslo overnight train

Has anyone on the forum tried the overnight train from Bergen to Oslo? We’re traveling in Norway mid-May and will be returning to Oslo from Bergen a day after completing the Nutshell tour. We’re trying to decide between taking the overnight train or a day train the next day. We have a nervous flier in the group and try to reserve the times we need to get on planes to the trans-Atlantic kind - so the train is our best option. Since we will have done the trains westward as part of the nutshell, I’m supposing we wouldn’t miss too much new scenery if we did the overnight, would we?

Anyway, we’ve slept on trains before in Europe and found them generally fine. But I’m wondering what people think of the sleeper cars/service in Norway?

I haven't been on the sleeper in Norway but understand they're pretty nice. They're all doubles but you're also allowed to fit in a couple of small kids for a total of NOK 930 (per compartment) in addition to your rail passes or train tickets.
