I am interested in taking a passenger ferry from Bergen to Haugesund later this summer. I will be in Bergen for a couple of days and then heading to the Haugesund area to visit some friends. I will not have a car, although I could take a bus if necessary. Any recommendations are most welcome!

These two tourist office sites link you to the same two ferry companies serving Haugesund and the first one has the bus links on the left-hand side. Without having read too far along these links, I'm pretty sure that you have to travel the longer distance by bus.

There is no ferry from Bergen to Haugesund. You can travel from Bergen to Leirvik by ferry and then change to bus.
