Bergen to alesund by car - itinerary help

Hi all,
My Norway trip is coming together and I have more specifics to share in order to get some seasoned advice from you all on a portion of our trip...

We will be departing by car from Bergen 8/6 and catching a morning flight from alesund to leknes on 8/11.

So I’m trying to pin down a solid route for these 5 nights/6 days to maximize sites without having to overnight somewhere different each night. My current thinking is:

Two nights in Balestrand area

One night in Loen/Stryn area

Two nights in stranda/Hellesylt region

Geographically, does this seem like a good plan? Or are their more impressive/scenic locations/routes and basecamps to consider?

My recommendation would be to head on night by night but you made clear that you look for something different.

Personally I think that Balestrand is over-valued. The Gaularfjellet is a nice scenic route but why coming back?

Personally I like Myrdalen: If you explore Hardangerfjord the first day and stay there you can explore Flam, Aurlandfjell and Naeroyfjord with a car round trip the next day, before heading on via 13 to Vangsnes heading over to Balestrand and Gaularfjell.

Hellesylt is the better place to sleep than Gairanger (over-priced and the yknow it).

Guess you have found the scenic routes already?

Be aware that one-way rentals are very expensive in Norway.
