We need to pick up a rental car in Bergen to head down the Karmoy peninsula. I'm trying to decide if we should pick up at airport or in the city center. We are staying at the Clarion Havnekontoret. Can anyone advise?

I hope someone with current experience can advise you. I visited Bergen several times in the 1990's with someone who had lived there and had business in Norway. We always taxied into the city and then picked up the car in the city when we were ready to leave.

Pickup the car in the city. I have never seen an airport car rental that didn't come with additional taxes, tariffs, etc. vs. city car rentals. Usually they do not charge for airport dropoffs, however.
