We will be in Bergen for 3 nights in early July and looking at apartment rentals. What would be the top neighborhoods re: safe, and walkable to go out for a quick coffee, a drink, a café lunch, a grocery run? Thank you!

If you post links to some of the apartments you are looking at I might be able to help. Bergen is not big but the tourist core is a very specific area...no matter where you stay near the center you will have access to all of the things you are looking for. I've never been in a neighborhood in Bergen I would consider unsafe.
