We will be visiting Bergen as a stop on a cruise. We only have from 9 AM to 3 PM. Do we have enough time to get a feel for the city and also visit TRoldhaugen or will we have to chose? I don't want to be rushed. Is a taxi the best option to get to the villa because of time ? Or should explore the city at a leisurely pace and pass on Troldhaugen?

So you depart at 11:00 and get back to Bergen at 14:30, which is barely enough time to get back to your cruiseship for a 15:00 departure. And that gives you just 2 hours in the morning to explore the city, which is really not enough time. I wouldn't attempt the Troldhaugen tour if I were you.

We were there 18 mos. ago. We loved the people--very tall, strikingly beautiful, and very nice. Sorry you have such a short time in port.
