Hi! My friend and I are planning on traveling to Norway and possibly Denmark and Sweden for 9 days in the fall. Are we trying to do too much in 9 days? We prefer rural areas and don’t want to spend a lot of time in cities. Museums and architecture not a priority. What is your advice? Thanks!
What is your priority?
The distances are too huge for 3 countries in 9 days.
MarkK is correct, narrow your itinerary.
I have been to all three countries and each has its own appeal, but if you are looking for scenic places, the Norwegian Fjords are just awesome. Consider taking a cruise out of Copenhagen, do a day or two there and then cruise up the coast of Norway stopping at places like Bergen, Geiranger, Alesund and Flam.
Check out Feda in the south of Norway. Small Village with a unique scenery. Loads of hiking possibilities and not to far from Kristiansand and Stavanger.
