7 days solo traveler Oslo, Bergen, Lofoten

I’m excited for my first trip to Norway and need some input from seasoned travelers!
Timeframe: first week of August

I plan to do the Norway in a Nutshell with my aunt (age 70), and am torn between a) doing the Naeroyfjord cruise and bus/train to Bergen and b) Flam to Bergen by ferry on Sognefjord and missing Naeroyfjord. Question 1 Which fjord option is the best, since I can only pick one in order to have more time in Lofoten and Bergen

We plan one day in Bergen and then Question 2: Should I fly to Leknes, Evenes/Narvik, or Bodo?
I want to have 3 days in Lofoten and cannot decide which place is best. Is there a section of Lofoten that is more spectacular than others or conversely, a section that can be skipped?

Leknes thoughts: It’s in the middle of the area I think I most want to see, however I’m worried about airport transportation to hotel at midnight if I take that flight from Bergen.

Evenes/Narvik thoughts: I hear it’s a stunning flight in, but it will require me to do more driving to make it to A and back in 3 days.

Bodo: many flights there, but requires 3h ferry and that might make me nervous trying to meet their timetables.
I’ve already determined that one way car rentals are far too expensive to be worth it.

Question 3: are there any hikes not to be missed in Lofoten?
Thank you all

Q1: Naeroyfjord

In your case I would fly into Bergen and would do NiN reverse to Oslo to avoid backtracking (back-flying).

First weekend of August is always one of the busiest around Hardangerfjord: to all tourists also over 6,300 extreme sport geeks plus teams are there and paying every price to join or watch the Ultra Triathlon Norseman which starts annually on first Saturday of August at 5 a. m. with a jump and a 3.8 km swimming into cold and dark Hardangerfjord, followed by 180 km biking to Hardangervidda plateau and a full marathon ending on top of over 1,800 meters high Gaustatoppen. The videos have goosebumps guarantee.

Q2: Lofoten islands are just around 150 km with one main street E10 plus left and right. With 3 days you can cover all at once. I found the part between Svolvaer and Mo most scenic (see scenic routes).

Strictly seen EVE does not belong to Lofoten. I used it once for Lofoten and liked it.

Bodo is just a time-eater for your plan and one of the more ugly towns I know in Norway.

Q3: Ensure you are right equipped (and insured) for hiking. Read practical hiking tips. Most known is hike of Reinebringen.

Weather rules everything and can change extremely quickly. Best weather forecast is Yr.no but is max. 48 hours reliable.

Most "famous" hikes of Norway are not on Lofoten. Some good hiking tips for Lofoten.

I guess your aunt is not hiking the same level you would like to do? How about a rib boat eagle tour into Trollfjord which is a real narrow fjord which only ships and boats can enter.
