I have reservations for early July, so I hope you get some replies. Recent reviews on booking.com were good when I checked.

We just returned from staying at Wildervanck. I recommend it 100%! Helene and Sjoerd were delightful hosts - they made a delicious breakfast for us each morning, with freshly baked muffins, whole grain breads and rolls, eggs, cheese, muesli. We were fueled up and ready to go each day. We had very interesting conversations with them, and they provided recommendations for local sites that we didn't have on our itinerary. They have two bedrooms that they rent out, and we had both of them. Each was clean and comfortable. It was so nice to return to a peaceful spot after a long day of touring/sightseeing. The location on the Keizersgracht was ideal; the tram stop was a one minute walk to the corner, very convenient. As it is centrally located, our walking tours of Amsterdam were also very manageable. For all of those reasons, I highly recommend this B&B.

Herman04: thank you so much for posting. We will have both rooms in early July and I’ve been wondering whether it was the right choice. How are the front steps? Are they unusually steep?

Hi Barbara,
The front steps aren't particularly steep, and there is a handrail. For the second bedroom, there is a second entrance underneath the front step; it's on the street level with a step down into that room. You just need to be mindful of not hitting your head. My daughter had that room and she was very comfortable.

Thanks, Herman04. Our daughter, who will stay in that room, is short, so that won’t be a problem!

A bit random question, but what floor was breakfast served on? Same level as the canal view room? Thanks! :)

Breakfast is served on the main level, a short walk down a hallway. It's a beautiful space, dining room with one entire wall of windows looking out on the back yard. It's a lovely spot, and the breakfasts were so delicious. Sjoerd and Helene were attentive and considerate hosts.

We had to cancel our trip, and hope to reschedule in 2026. I hope others will add to the reviews this year.
