We're bringing an unlocked international GSM smartphone with us when we spend a week in The Netherlands in June, planning to buy a SIM and pay-as-you-go plan so we can use a variety of travel apps while out and about without having to duck into places for WiFi all the time. Which carrier is the best one for our short-term need?
Lebara is your friend. 30-day prepaid card for 5GB data bandwidth use, on 4G network - for € 35.
Thanks. Lots of very bad reviews of Lebara on other sites, though.
I've used Lebara too and it's always worked fine. As a bonus, their website and customer service is in English as well as Dutch.
Who is your home carrier?
I have T-Mobile. I know T-Mobile now offers international roaming, but I am led to believe that the data rate is extremely slow, and we expect to be almost exclusively using data.
