What is the best Amsterdam hop on hop off tour?

My niece really likes tha bus-style sightseeing tour and was wondering if you have any recommendations for Amsterdam?

I have read there may be an option of touring with bus + boat. If you have any suggestions I will be very glad to hear them

Thank you in advance

Edit: I finally went with https://amsterdamhoponhopoff.com

It was easy to find the tour stops and had many central locations too

Due to the narrow streets and large number of pedestrian areas, Amsterdam is best done with walking or boat tours.

For boat tours, there are the big boats that do OK, run a standard route, have a recorded commentary, not the absolute best tours, but OK for the price. There are also smaller tours, like Those Dam Boat Guys, that run small boats, the boatman shares stories and history, you can bring drinks or food with you. The tours are a bit more intimate, get places the big boats don't. You could go so far even as a private tour by boat with a number of companies.

Was it worthwhile seeing it from a bus? I'd have thought that it would be pretty limited in Amsterdam.

In my opinion if you want to spend money on the slowest way to see the city then take the Hop-on-hop off.

The best way is to just walk. And take the occasional tram. Public transit is very good in Amsterdam. These hop-on-hop-off busses exist to separate people who are unaware of that from their money...

I was interested in what the OP thought of it anyway.

As long you you're expecting it just to go along the main roads it might not be so bad. There's a picture on the website of the the bus in front of the Heineken Museum, which is fair enough. At first glance I couldn't find a route map. If it skirts Musuemplein, maybe goes somewhere you can see The Amstel or The Ij. Do they go up Damrak? It might be be ok to pass an hour. I couldn't imagine paying big bucks for it and it seeming like value though.
